A Longer Version of My Story:

Maui is my home base for now. Land of unending wind, waves and horizons. In March 2020, when the world began shutting down, I packed my bags and moved my life, condensed to one large suitcase, across the ocean. It’s certainly been an change of scenery and lifestyle from San Francisco and I’m loving every moment of it.

Taking you back to the beginning... I was born and raised in the deep south of Savannah, GA; where the low country meets the ocean, Spanish moss hangs from the live oak trees and ghosts are real. Savannah has some of the most vibrant sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life. With a complex history and tight knit culture, Savannah taught me the importance of a strong community and appreciating a slow paced and simple life next to the sea. From there I moved north to Asheville, NC for college, where I camped in the Blue Ridge Mountains, whitewater rafted, and explored a plethora of craft beer.

After college, I moved across the world to a small beach town on the north island of New Zealand, where I taught scuba diving and went on many fantastic road trips. After leaving NZ, I traversed Southeast Asia for 8 months and fully immersed myself in cultures I knew nothing about, ate foods I’d never heard of and lived out of backpack. Shortly after returning home, I started law school in Atlanta, which was quite a rude awakening after so much freedom. During law school, I advised Georgia State Representatives on policy issues regarding un- and underbanked at consumer advocacy organization, mediated over 200 landlord/tenant cases in the Fulton County Superior Court and got my first taste of start-up life. Shortly after taking the GA bar exam, I packed my bags for San Francisco with no idea what I was going to do once I arrived but it all worked out :)
